The community pay a managing agent to tend the communal gardens and pool. The lawns are manicured and everything is kept neat and tidy.

From Maremar, you only have to walk down hill about 50 metres (about 30 seconds) to get to the gated pool area, set in a lovely green oasis. It is great for sunbathing, splashing about, or a really serious swim as the pool is long enough (about 25m) for those of us who like to exercise as well as keep cool. There is also a paddling pool for the youngsters.

Many people seem to prefer to use the pool rather than go to the beach every day. We have to say that we like both! We have left beach towels, a couple of snorkels and other pool toys at Maremar so that (with good will and thoughtful use by guests) everyone can have a good time without having to spend or pack more just for a week or so’s use.
